Is Christmas Eve and I´m working late, I´m calling my girl to say that I´m ok.
“I´ll take a taxi if I can find one, ´cause the city in days like these gets a little bit crazy”
It´s almost eight and I´m a little afraid, my mind is playing tricks on my again,
And home seems to me like a million miles away from here where I´m standing alone in the rain.

And now I get why you always say
“Baby, please don ´t be so hard on yourself”
Is Christmas and I´m coming home.

Traffic lights turning from red to green, the whole avenue looks like a Christmas tree,
And while I´m trying to find my way home the snow falling from the sky ruins my raincoat.

I should´ve listened when you were on your knees saying “Baby, come on, won´t you stay with me?” Is Christmas and I´m coming home.

Just when I thought that I was losing my faith about being at home before the dinner was served,
An old man wearing a Santa´s costume offered me a ride, it was some kind of a miracle.

And now my friend, as we reach the end, I´m glad I kept the promise I made to my girl,
